my first post in a long long time! anyway i believe everyone knows that we are going to celebrate x'mas at Kai Lin's house on the 23rd of december 2007. starting at around 4pm! its going to be POTLUCK! so far those going are:

now for the important part... FOOD! since we are potluck-ing, need everyone to help bring something along with them. kl and i were just brainstorming on the kind of food we need and heres THE LIST!
1. beehoon [kl's mum has kindly volunteered to cook for us!]
2. fried rice
3. curry vegetables [kl's mum]
4. otah [dawn]
5. chicken wings or roasted chicken
6. sotong or prawn balls
7. nuggets [aiwen]
8. egg potato or vege or fruit salad
9. hashbrown
10. garlic bread [hanyun]
11. spring roll
12. dumplings
13. jelly [jiamin]
14. ice cream [eunice]
15. drinks (need 2 people to help bring cause its really heavy) [xiaowei + zhi]
16. cheesecake [kl]
17. potato chips [peishan]
18. chocolate [waiyee]
19. serviettes + disposable cups, forks, spoons, plates [sieyen]
so basically this is what you have to do:
1. look through the list of foodstuff that we came up with and decide on one item that you want to bring on the 23rd (you can also bring stuff that are not on the list!). please do not choose items that others have already stated that they will bring.
2. leave a tag to stake your claim over that item. i'll be checking the blog regularly to update the list!
3. bring the item you said you will bring on the 23rd. OH YEA. and don't bring too much k. just sufficient for abt 15 pple will do. cause i think there will be quite alot of food to eat!
ok. i know its information overload. so sorry! but still hope to see you guys at kl's house on the 23rd at 4pm! be there or be square/rectangle/triangle!
P.S: if u have anything interesting to play like boardgames, cards or something great to watch like vcds/dvd pls bring them along! =)

here to report abt the trip!
currently, there're 11 pple who say they wanna go genting, and 11 saying they wanna go malacca. so it's TIE!
ok. so i'm going to elab a bit on the two trips above then decide again on sunday when you all come my house k! (: whee.
genting:
cost is $135. will depart on fri night or sat morn. then check in hotel when we reach, depending on the time. then it's off to the rides and everything. then we'll have dinner and all then see wad we wanna do (go back to rides or go walk walk shop shop). then next morn we can walk/shop/eat then we'll take the afternoon bus back to singapore. will reach ard 9.
if you wanna have a more comfy ride, we can pay abt 40 bucks more then we can get comfy comfy vip coach which i heard incl indiv tvs!!! (:
malacca:
cost is $110. i'm not so sure what we wanna do over there. we'll most prob eat/shop/take photos. lol. a relaxing shopping weekend, i guess. i heard the hotel is next to the shopping centre. lol.
ok. so basically, the date is set as feb 16 and 17. it's after cny and hopefully before release of results. so that we won't clash with the applications of whatever stuff you'll be applying for.
okok. so let's vote again on sun k!

so that's 9 people...quite little. so if anyone changes your mind (to go instead of stay on land) CALL ME~! it's not too late...
so assuming we have 9 people, we can have 3 cabins, 3 to one cabin. and the cost will be about $308 per person instead...

HI ALL! :)
here's the info you need about the cruise...
we're going for the DBS/POSB credit card star cruise promo "1 for 1" offer.
DATE: 15-17 FEB 08 (weekend-so that those working don't have to take leave)
Departing on 15th 9pm, arriving back to singapore on 17th 11am.
Itinery: basically....this tour doesn't stop anywhere, so we're just sailing out to sea and back! but we can do lots of things on the cruise though...like eat buffet, sleep, swim, play, casino!
Cost: $306 (includes taxes, room, fuel charge etc) >>60 days saving
room type: we chose the cheapest option (below sea level-stateroom deck 8&9) and we can have max 4 pax in a room.
If we can book by 18th dec, we can enjoy the 60 days savings. if not it'll be ex-er!

andddddddddddd...if you're thinking about the cost, haha just let it be a motivation for you to work harder to EARN IT BACK! really hope to see as many of us there as possible and it's a once in a lifetime chance to cruise with 404...lol =D
